We accept all of the material listed below from the public:Glass Bottles and JarsRemove lids and rinse thoroughly. Labels OK. Sort by color: clear, green, blue and brown. No ceramics, window glass, drinking glasses, light bulbs, ovenware, dishes or vases. Tin CansRemove labels and ends, except rounded bottoms. Rinse and flatten. Please put the labels in with the mixed waste paper. Plastic Bottles and Milk JugsPlastic bottles #1 - 7 with a neck smaller then the base. Rinse well. Remove lids and cap holders and flatten. Plastic Bags and FilmPlastic bags, film, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, lumber wrap, and pallet wrap. Must be clean. Plastic Tubs, Buckets and TraysPlastic tubs, buckets and trays #1-7. Must be clean. Scrap MetalFerrous Scrap Metal: This is magnetic. Please remove all non-metal materials. No closed cylinders (aerosol, pressurized cans, and paint cans). No tires, No refrigerators, and no air conditioners. Other appliances are accepted at our Southeast recycling plant. Non-Ferrous Scrap Metal: This is non-magnetic. Includes aluminum, brass, copper, lead, and electric motors. Follow ferrous metal guidelines. Hard Cover BooksHard cover only, please put paperbacks in with mixed paper. AluminumRemove non-aluminum parts. Rinse and flatten. Telephone BooksPut in with mixed paper. Carpet PadSource-separated carpet pad and polyurethane foam. Loads must be dry and free of any tack strips, carpet or other garbage. Media PlasticCD's, DVD's, and Jewel Cases. (cardboard sleeves on CD's are OK). Video tapes can no longer be accepted. Our Southeast Recycling Center also accepts the following:AsepticsJuice drink boxes, milk cartons and soy milk containers. Other coated food containers go in scrap paper. Motor OilResidential customers only. No more than 5 gallons per visit. Absolutely no additives or water. CrayonsOld broken wax crayons. BicyclesUsable bicycles will be donated to the Yellow Bikes Program and the Community Cycling Center AppliancesRefrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners, and microwaves are accepted. FEE: $25 per appliance. Appliances such as stoves, washers, dryers, hot water tanks and dishwashers are accepted. FEE: $5.00 per appliance. Athletic shoesNo metal and no cleats please.
