In 1982, Far West Fibers bought E-Z Recycling on Swan
Island. By Adding office paper and other paper grades, what began as a
small cardboard recycling plant for a large Oregon retailer, quickly grew
into a much larger facility.
In 1993, E-Z Recycling - now known as Far West Fibers
Portland - moved to its new location on 9.5 acres in the Pacific Business
Park. Our 80,000 square foot, full-service facility has the capacity
to handle 12,000 tons per month of various paper grades and mixed
recyclables with "state of the art technology." Far West Fibers
Portland sorts and processes this material for many domestic and overseas paper
mills.
