The following items are accepted at all locations:

Appliances

White Goods:

Stoves, dishwashers, hot water, heaters, washers and dryers. No fee.
Shoes
 Athletic Shoes:

No metal cleats or spikes. Must be clean. Please no dress shoes.
Cell Phones
 Cell Phones:

Include battery chargers, batteries and other accessories.
Batteries
 Rechargable Batteries:

No alkaline batteries please.
Toner
Electronics Recycling:

Includes computers, monitors (CRT, LCD), printers (fax, copy, scan), laptops, televisions and more. Call the locations closest to you for details.
Microwaves:

Please remove the glass turn plate prior to recycling.

 

The following items are accepted at one or more of our locations:

Clothes
 Apparel: (All locations except Hillsboro)
Clean wearable clothing, shoes, and accessories. No rags, stained or heavily worn clothing please.
Carpet Pad
 Carpet Pad: (Hillsboro, Marx St., Beaverton only)
Clean, dry re-bond polyurethane carpet pad. Rubber, felt, or rag pad is not acceptable.
Lumber
 Wood Waste: (SE location only)
Source separated, untreated wood, nails and paint OK. FEE: $90 per ton ($5.00 minimum) fee. Cash or check only please.

Cooking Oil: (All locations except NE Marx St.)
Before reycling it is important to filter out some of those bits of food floating around in the fat or at least remove the larger pieces. Please be sure not to mix any water with the oil.

Crayons: (SE, Lake Oswego, N. Portland, NW Portland locations only)
These crayons are reused by individuals in our community. If you have a good use for old broken crayons please contact one of the operations managers at the above mentioned locations.
